Colorful, durable, and well-tuned, these tiny plastic resonator xylophones are affordable, easy to store and easy to play.
The plastic carrying case allows for a quick setup and easy transportation. The sound is also a bit warmer than the deskbells.
Xylophone-esque instruments like these are a bit more difficult to play than our Deskbells, simply because they require the use of a small mallet. If your kids are ready for that challenge, or if you’re just looking for something a bit more affordable and a bit smaller than the deskbells, these still make an excellent instrument for kids 3 and up.
Note from Mr. Rob:
“When we went shopping for different C Major instruments, we knew these were the next instrument we wanted to invest in pretty quickly. They sound great, they’re easy to transport and our one year old daughter loves them! The mallet is small, which is nice for control, but it’s still not super safe for babies and toddlers, so use some parental supervision for sure. We’ve also heard that mallets can be a distraction for older kids as well (who find it fun to hit their neighbor with a mallet), but they’re definitely a lower price point and easier to store than the Deskbells, which we know will help a lot of you music teachers out there.”
